Samuel Awuku [Board Chairman, YEA]

Born in Koforidua  on 10th April 1984, Samuel Awuku  showed unarguably, qualities of an   affable and energetic and determined young man who was passionate in all endeavours.

His educational journey began in Koforidua where he went through primary education.  Sammi as he is known by many got enrolled in St Augustine's College to further study Agricultural Science  after excelling in his BECE.

Smart Samuel as assiduous as he was,sailed comfortably with good grades through his secondary education which earned him placement at Ghana's premier university -University of Ghana,Legon. > The interesting twist to Sammy story was when he opted to study poitical Science.Posterity just knew it was the right time to set the ball rolling for him.

His love for Accountability in all    matters particularly in governance inspired him to partner with colleagues to form the Group that keeps the  government of the day on its toes-Alliance for Accountable Governace(AFAG).

His impeccable communication prowess   rose him to the rank of Deputy Communications Director of   the New Patriotic Party. Sammi's unflinching love and committment to the NPP accelarated him quickly to join the rank and file of the party as the National Youth Organiser after a landslide victory in the NPP's  2013 congress. As the brilliant and hardworking youth leader as he is, he work tirelessly and effortlessly to rally the youth behind the NPP which secured President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo (then Flagbearer) a guaranteed win in the 2016 general elections.

Mr Awuku is currently the Board Chairman of the Youth Employment Agency. Sammi as he is affectionately called by all is happily married with two children and resides in Accra.
