Big moves went down in Cape Coast today. We handed over industrial sewing machines to the Central Regional YEA, giving our dressmaking trainees the tools they need to crush it in the fashion industry. These aren’t just machines - they’re the keys to unlocking new opportunities, growth, and brighter futures.
But wait, there’s more. Here’s how we’re showing up for the youth in Central Region:
We’re making waves:
- 1,719 Community Protection Assistants holding it down
- 711 Community Health Workers saving lives
- 370 Prison Office Assistants doing the work
- 179 Kitchen Assistants keeping schools running
- 138 Security Assistants keeping things safe
- 87 Community Teaching Assistants inspiring the next gen
- 268 Dressmaking trainees stepping into their power
- 825 Artisanal skills trainees getting hands-on
Through BEAP (Business & Employment Assistance Programme):
- 131 youth now running their own small businesses
- 61 businesses leveled up with YEA support - shoutout to AgroCold Ghana Limited, Galaw Enterprise, Dannyesta Construction Works, Anaffkays Ventures, Juliedoe Catering Services, Bartels 85 Ventures
- 66 garment companies bagged GHS 18,570 each to grow (Herty's Creation, Mark Jingles Fashion, Monaco Fashion School, Cindyco Fashion and Decor, Cecisteve Fashion Design, Sekyi Casual Clothing, among others are killing it!)
Under SSP (School Support Programme):
Schools like Winneba Senior High School, Swedru School of Business, Holy Child School, Apam Senior High School, among others are now thriving with Kitchen and Security Assistants making life easier for students and staff.
