The Agency has received proposals from all Regions, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Offices for its flagship project. The two of them which have been accepted and will commence this year is the Maize Farming in Brong Ahafo and Aquaculture in Volta Region. The Agency has acquired 10,000 acres of land at Branam in the Brong Ahafo Region for this project, which is expected to start in early 2019. The project will create direct employment for 3,000 youth in the region.

flagshipThe aquaculture project started in December, 2016 of which the Agency has collaborated with the Ghana Armed Forces acting through the 66 Artillery Regiment for the implementation of the fish farming project with the aim of improving food security as well as to curb unemployment. The project has been designed in different phases of which the first phase is expected to recruit about three hundred unemployed youth in the region. About 103 ponds have been constructed for the first phase of the project which is yet to train about 300 youth to be self-sustainable.

Other proposals submitted by other Regions and ready to be implemented include: Smock Village, Poultry Farming, Hatchery among others. Each District, Municipality or Metropolis within the Regions is expected to receive an amount of a million Ghana Cedis (GHC 1m) for any accepted viable proposal.
